Responsible Gambling

1. Our Position

1percentpunt provides sports analysis and educational content only. Betting involves real financial risk and must never be treated as a source of income.

We actively encourage Members to bet within their means, to make informed decisions, and to seek help early if betting stops being enjoyable.

2. Strictly 18+

Our Services are only available to adults aged 18 years or older. It is an offence in Australia for persons under 18 to gamble.

If you are under 18, you must not access, subscribe to, or use any part of the Services. We reserve the right to verify age and to close any account that does not meet this requirement.

3. Only Stake What You Can Afford to Lose

Set a bankroll that is entirely separate from money required for essentials such as rent, mortgage, bills, food, education or savings.

Never chase losses by increasing stakes beyond your plan. A single bet should never place you or your household under financial pressure.

4. Set Limits Before You Start

Decide in advance how much you are prepared to stake per day, per week and per month, and stick to those limits.

All licensed Australian bookmakers are required to offer deposit limits, loss limits, session limits and reality checks. We strongly encourage every Member to activate these tools.

5. Take Breaks and Use Self-Exclusion

If betting stops being enjoyable, take a break. Licensed operators offer cool-off and self-exclusion periods that lock your account for a chosen length of time.

In Australia, BetStop — the National Self-Exclusion Register — allows you to exclude yourself from all licensed online and phone wagering operators in a single step. Visit betstop.gov.au for more information.

6. Warning Signs

Signs that gambling may be causing harm include: staking more than you intended; chasing losses; borrowing money to bet; hiding activity from family, friends or partners; feeling anxious, guilty or preoccupied with betting; or noticing an impact on your work, relationships, sleep or finances.

If any of these apply to you or someone close to you, please pause and seek support.

7. Australian Support Services

If you ever feel our Content is pushing you in that direction, please contact us at 1percentpunt@gmail.com and we will review your concern promptly.
